Goodlight Film provides award-winning storytelling and cinematography for television, advertising and commercial clients. 

Founded in Zurich in 2016 by Alexander Szombath, the company counts on an established network of freelancers to provide outstanding work for national and international clients.

Various awards, from Los Angeles to Cannes, are testimony to the company’s dedication to audiovisual storytelling at the highest level. Goodlight Film has won International Quorum of Motion Pictures Producers’ One World Award in Paris 2018.

Alex has trained in San Francisco and Zurich, and is the co-creator of the critically acclaimed TV series “Wilder” (Produced by SRF), winning the Prix Walo 2018 for outstanding television, as well as scoring one of the highest viewership numbers for fictional entertainment in Switzerland. Besides his work for advertising and corporate clients, he has been working regularly as a cinematographer for Swiss Public Broadcaster’s SRF very popular in-depth documentary programme “DOK”.

Bernie Forster has trained in Geneva and London. He has worked as a director and editor for Swiss TV channels SRF and RTS, as well as for various national and international clients since 2007. His films have won over 30 international awards, among which “Best of Festival” Awards at the U.S. International Film & TV Festival, several Gold Medals at the New York Festivals, Cannes Corporate, WorldMedia Hamburg, and the Int. Wirtschaftsfilmtage in Vienna. He has also won an Edi for Best Swiss Corporate Film twice.

Cinematographer, Colourist and Visual Effects

Senior Colourist William H.W. Read (Will Read) is a creative and technical filmmaker, specialized in post-production. His work as a colourist spans the very best of music films, commercials, TV series and cinema. Regular clients include the world’s major broadcast and media organizations.

With experience ranging from directing the cinematography for Versace at the London fashion week to finishing television drama series shown on BBC One via speciality ultra-high resolution motion picture imaging for the 2012 Olympics, Will can tackle the film technology for projects of any size.
